Activate PowerPivot

Skip this lesson if you can already see it in the ribbon


Before we can proceed we need to activate PowerPivot. Depending on the version of Excel you use, you may or may not be able to use it. Presumably if you are reading this you have the correct version. However, you may not have it activated. If you can see the PowerPivot ribbon as shown below you can skip this section.  If you don’t see the PowerPivot ribbon you need to read on.

The PowerPivot Ribbon

You will need to activate your PowerPivot. This is the same in Excel 2013 and 2010.

To do this click on File and then the options button


Click on OPTIONS, Choose the COM Add Ins and click GO


Tick the PowerPivot option and click OK.



It will now appear on your ribbon.
