DATE Ex 1

On your Video Clips spreadsheet you are using

You need to determine the actual number of days and the number of working days taken by employees for annual and sick leave

  • In F5 column, calculate the actual number of days taken. Remember that because it refers to the start date of leave and end date of leave you will need to add a day.
  • In G5 column calculate the number of working days (assuming that Saturday, Sunday and the public holidays in L5 to L17 are non-working days)
  • In H5 column calculate the number of working days (assuming that only Sunday and the public holidays in L5 to L17 are non-working day)

Excel does not seem to be recognizing the dates in column A (try and change the format). Use a tool to make it see the dates

Excel does not seem to be recognizing the dates in column A (try and change the format). In a separate column use a formula to make it a valid Excel date

DATE Ex 4

In A 11 to A374 we have dates from a system which are separated by a point. Excel is not recognizing the dates. Use a tool to convert these into Excel dates.
