Data Clean Ex 1

You have received a large data set but it has a subtotal at the end of each Vendor (probably used the Grouping feature). You need to turn it back into a clean database by removing the subtotals.

Data Clean Ex 2

In this example we want to clean up the data so that we only see the underlying information and none of the subtotals, blanks and other unnecessary rows. The rows we are interested in contain a Period (e.g. 2013-01) in Column B , a date in Column C and a value in column N.

Use the Filter and delete the rows

Remove Dup Ex 1

Using a tool, remove the duplicates in the list. A duplicate is where column A, B,C,D,E and F are the same.

The control totals in D1, E1 and F1 should be 38949, 44128, 44529
