Separation- Dealing with the Reports of a budget or forecast

The only thing most people will see of your budget is the outputs and reports. Some things to remember when building the reports:

  • Allow sufficient column width for reading and printing.
  • Use commas/ spaces to separate thousands.
  • Use red or brackets for negatives
  • Emphasize totals
  • Use appropriate headings
  • Make it print friendly
